Mid-season Gut check

The middle of the season is always a good time to do a gut check. Both teams are hovering around .500 and have had some real tests in the beginning of the year. We have had some great successes with some big individual/doubles team wins.

Dimitra Stavriankou/Melinda Johnson had a win over Oklahoma's #1 doubles team, Dimitra also beat Air Force Academy #1 player in a tight three set match 6-7, 7-6, 7-6, Allie Schulte had our first win against an SEC team, Missouri.

Marc Santamaria had a great win against Nebraska, we had a tight match against ranked Santa Clara with a good come from behind doubles win by Psarros/Castellano against their #1 doubles team.

So again we are having success but we are still far from our goals. I am sure with hard work and perserverance we can attain our ultimate goals of winning the WAC championship and getting the ring!

More importantly than any of these goals to me is that each day we grow in character and become better men and women and honor our school, ourselves and God.
